hand-made kitchen

By design, by hand, by Dowers

There comes a point where you just want your kitchen your way. To be unconstrained by standard shapes, sizes, styles and configurations that someone else has chosen. To begin from the premise that not every space comprises four flat walls that meet in perfect right angles. To create something that truly reflects you, your life and way of doing things.

And the only way to do that is to go handmade. But a handbuilt kitchen isn’t an ornament, trophy or work of art. It’s a living, working space, at the very centre of your home and family life. A place to cook (of course) but also to chat, entertain, relax or just take a minute to think. And it’s where all the best parties end up.

“After downsizing my wish was to recreate my “old cooking space”. Guy managed to interpret my scribbles and created a welcome and comfortable environment with all the mod cons of an up-to-date kitchen. Thank you, to all at Dowers, for your excellent craftsmanship, patience…”

Discover our process

We understand you’re going to ask a lot of your new kitchen. Which is why we’ll design it around your exact requirements, down the very last detail. Then we’ll handbuild every bit of it using the finest materials, and craft skills developed over decades, to make sure it does everything you need it to – and look good doing it for years to come.

Owning a handbuilt kitchen is one of the life’s great pleasures. We’ve always believed that the process of creating it should be just as enjoyable. It’s creative. It’s fun. And we should probably add: it can be just a little addictive.
